Now complete, the hole lies under a bed of flint, gathered from the surrounding hillside.

Inside the hole hang instruments from vertical bars, while the horn sprouts two flexi hose roots, ending in cones, a mirror of the horn, to amplify the music of percussion and water.

It never rains anymore. Since a 3 week downpour at the end of April half filled the pond, it’s slowly evaporated and been drunk by the deer. Today we tipped in a tanker load, 10,000 litres.


The horn, finished and waiting to begin it’s journey south.
